Sixth Annual Narrows Festival of the Arts to be held this Sunday

Featuring live music, artist displays, and a vibrant children's area this free event, presented by the Narrows Center for the Arts, is something not to be missed! The event takes place 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, rain or shine in the historic waterfront district (near Battleship Cove).

"The festival is kind of our give-back to the residents of Greater Fall River. We want to do something free, because accessing the arts today is difficult, it's expensive," Mr. Norton said.

There truly will be something for everyone with:
Several live musical acts
Over 40 different visual artists (to include painters, basket weavers, sculptors and jewelery makers)
Story tellers
A Mardi Gras parade
A children's arts and crafts tents
A Fall River Fire Museum exhibit and ride
Caricature sketches
A carnival folk art exhibit

This year's theme is the spirit and sounds of New Orleans, and will feature musical headliners Buckwheat Zydeco and Henry Butler and the Leo Nocentelli Band. Don't miss it!
